In addition I saw that they were carrying .44 deagles and asked if they carry the gold plated ones and told me that those were illegal no matter what caliber they were in." the doj has to approve all the finishes on guns" i don't remember the reason but i'm sure this is false.

Thats because most people who support Turners dont actually know **** about gun laws and rarely go to other gun stores. At least thats the case with the Big 5's around my area. Everyone in there is a Mall Ninja.

I'd not maybe stock OLL or deal with it if I had a gunshop but I would not spread FUD that it is illegal, I'd admit it is a store policy.

I do not ask Turners employes in 98%++ of situations for advice, I just need them to ring up my purchase, process paperwork, ect. I do my own research, have my own knowledge.
