    Thanks for the post!

While I was in High School, I recall my field trip to the Museum of Tolerance in LA. I remember the NoHo Shootout exhibit which featured two life-size mannequins of Phillips and Mătăsăreanu fitted with the armor and clothing they wore and the weaponry they used. One of the norinco type 56 was all dinged up from 9mm bullets drilling it, it was insane!

Also on display at the museum is the robber's getaway car (the white 1987 Chevrolet Celebrity), which was riddle with bullet holes.

A good friend of mine's dad was lapd swat at the time. If you watch the video he's the guy wearing shorts. He was working out at the academy when the call came through. He rushed down there. He doesn't like to talk about it and many of the cops involved have committed suicide. Cool inside story from the op.

                Fascinating first-hand report - thanks!

Just curious though - how'd you still manage to have a CASE of NORINCO still on ya', 3+ years after KLIN - TON I banned any more importing of it?

I was in TX at the time, having come from the Carolinas, and as I recall, that had ALL dried up at the retail level in the South, anyways.

I didn't, that's TWICE in the same thread you've made fundamental reading errors in an effort to post up pithy "gotcha" posts.

Both failed miserably. I said to read more carefully, I gave no advice about when you should post.

Given this second total whiff, I renew my advice to read more carefully.

Your zeal to school me is interfering with your ability to read simple English, it seems.

Dang, I remember B&B in Westminster. Sold a 92FS to get a custom Para P-14 there. Good times. Gosh the NoHo B of A happened 17 years ago. How the hell is Fienstein still with us ?

Great post, really enjoyed it. Just moved to a free state but while in California I worked at a SoCal gun range/gun shop that had two former B&B employees working there who were in the shop with you the day it went down, their stories lined up with yours, I'm just glad it's documented for others later on.

We had many SoCal agencies train at our range and I remember the day the Dorner situation was unfolding. All the cops bought ammunition and last-minute items from our pro shop, then quit training and headed out to respond. NOTHING like what happened to you guys and B&B though. Excellent post.

I'm completely heart broken that I've hurt your feelings. Nothing personal.

I completely understood your clever post using anti rhetoric. Perhaps I should have responded that no one defines my needs but me. I didn't think you would need the explanation, but there it is. Carry on with pumping up your post count and ego, I'm going to the range

                          Unnecessary insult omitted.

Let's get one thing straight, you're incapable of hurting my feelings. I'm not emotionally invested in this at all. This is a simple exercise in written discussion, there's nothing that can possibly happen that will upset me, although I do not like to be called a liar, I will admit that. You mistake determined opposition for some kind of tantrum. Or you're seeking to deflect from what's happening.

                          Either way, you're wrong.

I do, however, take some glee in smashing idiotic "gotcha" posts, like yours, that is based on a failure to read or understand the thing you think you are responding to.

your revisionist and patently false claim that you understood what I meant is ridiculous. You tried to post a gotcha, pithy snippet, and instead it was a misfire. If, as you now claim, you understood what I meant, then your moronic "hear me roar" retort makes no sense. If you understood I wasn't arguing for limitation, then no sane adult would feel the need to post your version of "don't tell me what to do".

My ego, and my post count, don't enter into it. Why do the blow hards who are not faring well in a discussion always run to claiming emotion or other motivations are at work? Likely it's projection.

Let me guess, although you claim I'm emotional or in this for the post count, you won't be able to resist some later post to try, and fail, to save face.

I went, I'm back. You keeping track of my day? I have range duty later today from 5pm til dark if it matters so much to you.

Let's recap; you made a comment, I made a comment. You felt compelled to criticize my reading skills. I don't care. You seem to have a problem with people challenging you. Get help

I don't need a "pass" from you to come back and post. You seem to have a truly inflated sense of your importance to the internet. Your thread drift wasn't that important to the actual discussion, which in case you missed it , was about the Hollywood shootout.
