Bought a stainless Mini-14 folder today...

..at a pawn shop. My CBI background check took about 90 seconds. The whole process took maybe 5. I walked out the door with my new gun a couple minutes later. This is how things are supposed to be!

Interestingly, the proprietor was the same age as me, from Escondido, and a huge Chargers fan (was wearing a Bolts hat & t-shirt.) He took over $100.00 off the asking price, and threw in a brand new $30.00 Bulldog padded case for free. Another bonus, was that the shop is located just outside the city limits, so I got a 3% break on the sales tax to boot. It was a good day.

Yah, "cool starry bra" but I feel like a little Americana magic happened back there.

Coming soon. I have to work tomorrow, but the night after that, I am going to go shooting in New Mexico with friends. I'll try to get some pics & video up by Friday night.

P.S. it isn't the Ruger factory folder, just so you know. But, IMHO the Butler Creek stock is sturdier. Factory looks the best though, naturally.

Bought my first Mini when I lived in your neck of the woods - Solvang to be exact. It was the first of the 180 series from 1976, the one with the wooden handguard.
