He is overwhelmed. He used to reply customers' emails on the same day. But now, it will take 4+ days. I was planning to register a gun everyday 30 days until the end of the year. probably can't now. If you wanna do "one gun everyday 30- day" thru DI, don't buy the guns ahead of time, you will be screwed,

Same here, been waiting for a reply about setting up a DROS time. He did finally respond so he's around, just super busy.

When I did my SSE with him a few months ago, he never returned any of my calls. I got super worried. It wasn't until I found how how busy he is, did the worry leave.

Try texting him, he always responded to my texts!!

I was at DI yesterday morning. Poor guy probably had up to 15 people milling around and he didn't lose his cool. I emailed him last night to follow up on something and he responded in about 20 minutes. It was my first experience dealing with Chris and, other that maybe spacing his appointments out a bit more, I found nothing to complain about.

Regarding Nussbaum, I don't believe I've heard him actually say something was "illegal" about shipping SSE pistols to him. But I've only dealt with him a handful of times. What I have heard him say was that there were legal reasons for him not SSEing something he didn't order directly. I interpret this as his lawyer telling him "for insurance reasons, don't SSE anything you don't purchase into inventory yourself." There's a subtle and important difference between saying something is "illegal" and saying that you won't do something "for legal reasons."

Well looks like some of you guys are actually getting a hold of Chris.. I emailed him 2 weeks no response. Couple days after that called him, denied after a few rings and got an instant text from him so I texted him back, no response. I've done about 5 transfers with him this year and 1 being an SSE so I'm no stranger to the guy but I don't know maybe no luck with me. Ah well... no m&p core for me I guess.

Sounds like Chris has a little too much on his plate. I've heard good things, but I'd rather pay a little more and avoid the hassle.

Still there. I was just there on Friday. He just switched to some new email system and it showed he has about 20,000 unread emails so it will cause delays.

Chris is a 01FFL.. He doesn't manufacture firearms.

I ended up going with Brian Nussbaum in Burlingame and was quite pleased with the whole experience. He, unlike many other gun shops, actually stocked the guns he offered to do SSE's on, and had what I wanted. The shop, while very small, was neatly kept, well lit, and the staff (two guys when I was there) were very friendly and patient with all of my and my dad's questions. We were in there about an hour total, and never once heard anything about Obama, made up "can't do/have that in California" laws or any other conspiracy theories or paranoid dis-info from a tinfoil-hatted mouth breather, which is more that I can say for a certain local place here in Watsonville. He didn't try and dissuade my dad (who was getting quotes/info on his "short list") from ordering something in favor of what was on the shelf already, also unlike a certain place in Watsonville, and didn't gouge me on my purchase or any of my dad's prospective purchases, again, unlike a certain place in Watsonville.

Long story short, it was a good experience and I would shop there again in the future. I also noticed a few Sigs in their case while I was there so you might give them a call.

                                Brian Nussbaum has good prices?
