Gun Safe Recommendations/Gun Safe Store Recommendations

Since I'm going back to school I won't be able to use my parent's huge/really nice Fort Knox safe so I'm in need of one myself. I would prefer one that is basically a starter safe. Something similar to a Fort Knox Maverick. I'll only be in my current residence for a year (hopefully longer if I can get into my choice law school) so its not so much budget concerns but more so I won't have to worry about taking a huge loss if I need to sell it or transport it. Also a safe store recommendation area in the sacramento area/LA area would also be appreciated.

    thanks,
    Sam

In college I just had a 14 gun Sentry I picked up on Craigslist.

There's a separate forum for safe things (it's kind of far down the Forums page these days)- you might want to look there.

In the meantime, here's a good starting point:
Gun Safe Buyers Guide from AccurateShooter.com, the best guide for benchrest and precision shooting, Gun safe Reviews, Reloading Message Boards, Cartridge Diagrams. Safe Reviews of Ft. Knox, Amsec, SentrySafe, Sentry, ProStaff, Browning, Zanotti, Sportsman Steel, Cabelas, Cannon, Liberty, Sturdy Safe, Winchester, Granite, Sam's Club, tools, gunsmiths. Articles archive for reloading, gunsmithing, and varminting.
ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

I had a 6 gun "stack on" that was cheap and functional.
