    Moving to Nevada

Any advice, thoughts, tips etc. I have a California CCW.

What exactly can be bought as far as guns in Nevada?

      Anything you want.

If you live in Clark county, handguns need to be registered with metro pd and are issued a blue card for that firearm. I believe your first waiting period for a handgun is 3 days? but nothing after that, and no Background check or waiting period if you have a valid CCW.

No sort of requirements for rifles/shotguns.

I thought this was the case. I just didn't know the exact rules or laws. I really want to get an MP five. Do you guys think I could get one?

              Most definitely.

Gun stores *in vegas, anyway* carry more modern firearms than anything old/unique, so if you're a big collector of older, uncommon, 'cheap' firearms, you may find the pickings a little unsatisfactory. If you want a polymer wonder 9, anything tactical, an AR, an 870, a hunting rifle or shotgun, we've got you covered.

Make comfy with your local lasvegas.backpage.com and check the ''sports equipment'' section often

They're decently represented, but not flooding everywhere to be sold.

                  Federal rules still apply, however.

How big is your back account?

Local Las Vegas store selling a transferrable mini gun

If you going down the SBR/Silencer/MG route, pay few hundred and start a trust. You can bypass local CLEO sign off which may take months on top of ATF processing.

Demographics are shifting left there. I think they are 10-20 years behind California in attitudes regarding firearms. The antis are probing there now.

I think transferable select fire MP5s are getting close to $30,000 each now.

The NFA register of automatic weapons was shut down in 1986 (the Reagan Machine Gun Ban), so automatic weapons are like real estate: they aren't making any more. The tax stamp costs $200 and nine months, but the guns themselves get more expensive every year. M16s are probably the least expensive, at around $10K (remember, there is virtually no physical difference between a $10K M16 and an $800 M&P-15 you can pick up at Turners: the $9,000 difference in cost is due entirely to scarcity).

Full auto and other NFA-regulated firearms are freely available in most states in the Union, including Nevada, as long as you have the cash.

The Calguns of Nevada is Nevada Shooters. I once found a link on that site to all Nevada's gun laws. It was like three pages of laws, that's it.
