    Who goes to Walmart ...

... when you can get them (ammo) cheaper online? I've stopped going to Wally long time ago because of the 3 box limit and the line.

Calgunners directed me to different websites that sells ammo a lot cheaper than Wally. I like the convinience of buying them online and they deliver to your door free if you buy bulk and sometimes due to promo. It saves me time and gas.

I don't go to Walmart except when I am driving my mother on her monthly shopping outting and she insists on going there. If, and only if then, I check the ammo shelf and they have something I want, I will buy. Otherwise I buy LGS or online. Even with shipping, most times I can find it cheaper.

While I order most of my ammo online, there are certain types of ammo that Walmart sells cheaper. For example, those 4-pack Federal Multipurpose shotshells (100 rounds) for $19.94, I can't get that kind of price online. There's also the Superma 00 bulkshot that they sell for pretty good price too.

Wife and I shoot trap almost every weekend and we burn through 300 to 500 rounds of shot shells each week, I'm always on the lookout for cheap target shot shells.

I check the ammo section if I happen to be at Walmart. Just picked up some ZQ1 7.62x51 marked down to $9.97/box, after tax it's 54cents/rd which is pretty good. The Federal 100rd .45 boxes are probably the only other thing I would really pick up besides shotshells.

i prefer to make small purchases of ammo from my lgs. that gives me an opportunity to look into the used handgun display case, gaze at the wall displayed long guns and assess if they've got anything that might tempt me. my short list is not entirely comprised of guns that are easily found at most brick-and-mortar shops, but you never know what may be waiting for you and your money. my last 3 or 4 handgun purchases were surprise short-list finds at my lgs when i had originally walked in to pick up a box or two of ammo.

I find ammo cheaper at Walmart than anywhere I've seen online. Shipping is always steep and not really worth it to me in the end.

Also the only thing they have a 3 round limit on is 22lr because of the flippers, they are aware that is still going on. Atleast that's how the limit is in my area.

The last time I went to wallmart was for shoe goo cause Home Depot didn't have any, other than that I haven't been back there since 09 when you use to be able to go the morning of for 9mm, 22lr and 12 freely.

Now that the ammo is scarce I don't even bother with that place, not worth almost being hit in the parking lot 8 times a trip, rude people who have no sense of walking right away, and I hate seeing the worlds gathering of the collectors of my tax paid disability, welfare collecting fat fu** slobs in scooter chairs spending my hard earned money.

Wallys federal 180 grain .308 silver box is about 22$ Cheaper than online when shipping's considered. They've had .40 during the crunch for a decent price too, kept me shooting. Not to mention the possibility of a scandalous pic of a poop stained individual. Maybe a "wildcard" day with someone being shot...

I avoid Walmart whenever possible but sometimes I run out of something and I cant wait a few days for amazon and if its an item I know nobody else would carry... then I check walmart. Twice now Ive run out of Cremo Cream to shave my head with but luckily walmart had it. Both times I was rudely reminded of why I hate walmart though once I got in line behind shaquishas fighting with cashiers about what is ok for her EBT card

As far as ammo, I buy everything online. WAY cheaper and more convenient. A guy earlier said he goes to LGS and buys ammo just to have an excuse to look at guns. Nothing wrong with looking at guns but feeling obligated to buy something just because you are in the shop is lame. I used to do the same thing until I felt comfortable enough with the owners that I stopped feeling unwelcome if I didnt buy something lol.

I only buy shot shells there anymore. Really is hard to beat that price for the Winchester or federal 100rd packs. I used to buy .22lr there but won't stand outside all morning for it. Everything else I reload.

I have never purchased ammo at Walmart, if I needed to I can get it cheaper elsewhere as well as a better variety.

Which is not confined to WM. Target, any grocery store and 99 cent stores cover that as well.
