Heres the problem, you said he wasnt scared of you because of your size. Anyone thats your size with all that extra weight I dont think they would be scared. When someone is SO overweight what can they do? They will gas out before the first punch is thrown.

Bro PLEASE for your family give this some thought. Your health is very important!

I don't recommend getting your ccw so you can try to force people to be lawful. Protect whats yours first. Next time just call the cops about suspecious behavior.

yes I understand ( its a joke ) however the OP did instigate things by engaging in conversation. Which then led to the hostile behavior by one of the **** bags that tried to confront the OP. Its best to call the cops and not get involved.

Apparently, they don't realize what it's like to be grabbed by someone your size.

Because it takes a few days for them to get caught. This particular one is out - being demeaning and insulting (plus some multiple registration violation and alike) is what did it...

First of all I am REAL glad it worked out for you and YOUR Family that THEY did not get Hurt or see you get hurt or worst. What were you thinking you had your Wife and you daughter RIGHT THERE in front of YOUR house!!!!!! You did not have any situational awareness or else you would have known your daughter was not paying attention. If you are by yourself then by ALL means go and do what you want and puff up to anyone you want I am all for that. But C'omon man you had you FAMILY right there.

Your are part of Neighborhood watch please do just that Watch and report. You could have just gone inside your house and immediately called the Police and watched what they did and made sure these dirt bags did not do anything to your neighbor's house. I commend you for watching out for your neighborhood. If there were more people watching out for their neighbors this world would be a better place. You did good there and I give you HIGH marks for that.

I have a friend that is about your same size and I myself am a big guy and him and I have both been bouncers. I myself went through a POST Academy but those days were about 250 pounds ago for him and about 100 pounds ago for me. In the Academy the instructors got mad the class while on the range one day for not giving it our all so to teach us a lesson they made us do hand to hand and baton drills for 5 minutes strait in full gear and I mean they worked us on these drills like our lives depended on them. They did this to simulate what an all out "fight for your Life" situation was like. I was in damn good shape then and those 5 min seamed like FOREVER!!!!!! Then we had to shoot for accuracy and the shooting counted for our grad in that Learning Domain. I tell you this because Fighting for Your life with a loser type person like these people that are less then Half your size could go really bad for you. My friend that I referred to earlier is that big guy that thinks he is a bad *** because of his size. But I know if he was in a fight for his life situation I am sure I would end up going to his funeral. I dont know your situation maybe you are the heaviest in shape MMA fighter or X-Navy Seal type person there is. BUT if your not I dont thing fighting with a street person is in your best interest. Obviously this Street scum bag was not afraid of your size. Again please Watch and report. During my FTO program I was put in a lot of interesting situations and the one thing I feared was a Hand to Hand confrontation with Street scumbags. You never know what they will do or worst if they are strung out on something which would multiply their strength sometimes give them super human strength. Scumbags that are willing to fight and have nothing to lose, have everything to gain once the hand to hand begins all they want to do is win by all means because if they don't they are going to jail. Yeah maybe you will get that golden punch that will put them on their butt but 9 times out of 10 you wont.

Lastly I implore you to really think and rethink if you want to get that CCW. YOU HAVE SO MUCH TO LOSE if you make the wrong decision about pulling it and using it. In the Academy it was DRILLED into us that you own that golden egg from the time you get it till the place it ends up after you use it. In this situation you instigated the fight that if you had a gun and used it you might have to do some time when you are being tried by a jury of your peers. Remember this is CommieFornia Comrade. In the Academy we were taught that even us as "Off duty Officers" with the right to carry off duty, should always JUST BE A GOOD WITNESS!!!!!! I am not lieing that is what were were told unless you absolutely positively have to DEFEND LIFE!!!!!!! When you carry you are being held to a higher standard and you have to carry like if you are not carrying. Think about this had you been carrying had you just pulled out your gun you could have been locked up for "Brandishing a Firearm" Especially since this guy was only coming at you with his bare hands (no Weapon). In your CCW class they should go through what is called "Escalation of Force" had you gone strait for you firearm YOU initiated the force. He is almost justify if you shot, to protect him and his girlfriend scumbag with deadly force. Think about it. It was a verbal confrontation, he had no weapon, he was just drinking on a grassy lawn enjoying the day and you come out yelling at him so he gets up in fear but wants to hear what you are saying so he gets closer to you (so he says) and you pull a cannon out on him and appear to fire (that is what he will say atleast) so ladies and gentlemen of the jury my defendant had no other choice but to charge his attacker (you) and protect himself and his scumbag girlfriend. I dont know man when you yeild that kind responsibility you have a great amount of weight you have to carry. NOT GET ME WRONG I AM ON YOUR SIDE. I am just saying think about it.

I love how even though this guy successfully protected his family, he's still getting all this hate. Maybe next time he should just let the weirdo attack his daughter while he stomps his feet and yells "stop it, you meanie-face!" Freakin' armchair quarterbacks. Good for you for thinking fast and clever, OP!

Telling someone off for messing with your neighbor's stuff is noble, but I would have withdrawn and called the police from within my house. Bluffing is something you do only when you're forced into doing something. I bluffed once. I was walking in a parking lot when a tweaker started pestering a women with kids for money. That was more stressful than the time I actually had a weapon in my hands when I scared off the tweaker who smashed my neighbor's windows and came up my driveway at me.
