Bluffed Having Gun probably Saved Us.

First let me say sorry for any bad Grammar.

I did a stupid thing yesterday but it probably saved us. Me my wife and my 18yo daughter walk out the house to go to dinner. my house sits on a corner lot in a art district shops, restaurants. my driveway and garage are on the side of my house as i turn the corner i see a man and a woman street people laying on my cross street neighbors grass open back packs and and old shopping cart drinking beer. male sits up and looks right and my wife LV hand bag hard.

so i ask if they live around here the female tells me she live 10 or 15 blocks away. i tell them im with neighbor hood watch and ask them what there doing here female tells me she just drinking her beer. at this point my wife is already inside our gate by the suv and i though my daughter was to. i tell them that there trespassing and they should get off the property.

so i walk in side my gate and my wife yells be hide you i turn around and see the male crossing the street fast and is almost to me i reach behind my back bluffing with my right hand and put my palm up facing and yell hold it right there he stops cold and starts yelling puffing up about life is not fair.

now i realize my girl is to my left out side the gate texting and is oblivious to whats going on. he is between me and her. so i tell him you take one more step to me or my family i will blank you blank. he turns and walks away.

at this point other neighbor come out and start yelling at him. police get here and really cant do anything no crime was committed but they run his name he as a warrant for assault. this guy was not sacred of me at all im 6'0 490lb it could have gone a lot worst. im applying for a CCW and im going to have a long talk with my family about are safety.

Tell your daughter to put the damn phone down! As I post this from my phone. Of course I'm inside, not on the street, if that were the case, it would be in my pocket.

Glad you and yours were not attacked, some are increasingly becoming embolden and confrontational, knowing that there are no real repercussions to the act there about to do, you can thank AB109 for most of that, and a lax Justice system toward the real criminals of society for the rest.

But now you really need to be alert,he knows where you live and it sounds like he doesn't have much to lose. If you have a good camera system,you'll be able to see whos throwing all those empty 40oz. beer bottles on your property and crapping in the corner..

Glad it worked out okay for you. Do you knife or mace? Those are great back ups to a CCW while you start that process.

OP, better have a long talk with your daughter about situational awareness. Especially since she's 18 and going to be pretty much left to her own resourcefulness when she's out.

I wouldn't have bluffed having a gun. If you can't CCW you'd better get some pepper spray and carry a knife, at least.

I saw a big dude get out of his truck to road rage on a old homeless man. The homeless man stuck his finger in his jacket pocket as if he had a gun; big dude turned around got back in his truck and left the scene. It was awesome to watch because big dude was full of rage, but was a ***** when there was a chance of his beating victim being armed.

I am much smaller but I'd never be scared at someone who's 6' and 490lbs.

Yep, something doesn't make sense. If you have a warrant on you, it doesn't matter if you were walking an old lady across the street you will be arrested.
