      Gunshows

I love going to the gunshows.

It is like a flea market ... only there are a lot of gun stuff there.

Make sure you bring lots of cash. Cash is king at the gun show.

$11 door fee, $10 parking. I might go for the Toffe nuts.

I've found its a waste of time unless you're hunting down reloading components, mainly powder. In which case you need to get there real early the first day.

Its advisable to see one of the beautiful young lady's who do admin and obtain a written receipt, as some ranges discount memberships for those who attend gun shows.

Unfortunately the worlds best gun show that featured 6 miles of tables, many police agency's , lots of military vehicles, great live music by many groups like the drifters, fun costumes of old west hero's like the " Lone Ranger" , lots of gals in period costume from 1800 s and earlier . This show was at the LA fairgrounds in Pomona. It brought in, iirc 14 million a year for LA county.

This wonderful fun, family event was shut down by one man, LA supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky . As a side note Yaroslavsky has endorsed a candidate for LA sheriff . Calgunners would be advised to find out who he endorsed and vote accordingly ..
Good old days. People nowadays don't know what a gunshow is or was.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.
            I'm Back.

Go for the turkey legs, beef jerky, t-shirts and oily magazines with rusty springs.

Fire marshall won't allow Ontario to sell powder. Also no more CGN table at Ontario seems they could never get enough people to man it.

Oops I think you meant to post in the "Occupy Wall Street movement web page .
This is Calgunns where mostly polite, affluent gun owners congregate .

Not accusing you of hurling excrement at police cars, but your post indicates that's the best way to dress when dissing " the man" With human excrement.

"Police say an Occupy Wall Street protester dumped a tub of human waste down a public stairwell and inside a bank vestibule, and got caught on video.
Police said Occupy Wall Street protesters were captured on surveillance video dragging a large receptacle of human urine and feces to an open-air plaza at the corner of Nassau and Cedar streets last Wednesday evening, just before 8 p.m.
They then poured the waste down a set of stairs there, police said."...

Feel free to go back to the Occupy site you originally intended

I've been to hundreds of gunshows including some back east and the lack of personal hygiene can be appalling.

Not denying what your saying, although I've never witnessed it myself in too many shows to count .

It's quite likely the occupy mobs were casing gun shows to hurl their excrement and urine like they do at their occupy events . One can only surmise they changed their minds when they looked at the well dressed well heeled gun show attendees .
The majority of whom look like steely eyed combat veterans with knuckles that show lots of scar tissue .

For future events it could be a good idea to have the promoter hire some security and if it looks like the unwashed, urine smelling, excrement carrying " occupy types, they should be run off the property .
Below are the "Demands" from Occupy Wall Street. The demands were articulated from a person who lives in Martha's Vineyard and is owner at...

Brookfield Office Properties, which owns Zuccotti Park, the site of the New York demonstration, have already railed against protesters, who they claim are creating sanitation problems.

We gun types enjoy nice clothing winks and smiles offered by ladies who know a good thing when they see it .

This quote will work for Rodeos, County Fairs, Concerts, EVERY large gathering that doesn't require a Tuxedo to get it? So what? Worry about your eroding Civil Rights and that Gun Shows serve to promote the 2nd Amendment Community and serve as a Marketplace for the Casual Buyer unaware of Internet FFL dealers, Calguns and the Continuing Anti Gun Movement activity.

My friend Harold Morgan signs up Dozens of People at EVERY Gun Show and he works All the Central Coast and Mid Valley. People who are not savvy to the Need for the NRA through normal Media Access...Education of the Public through a Gun Specific Venue alone is worth having Gun Shows...

Can't get a Killer deal on your prized Gun...cry me a river. Enjoy Gun Shows while you can, when they are gone you get more time for mowing the Lawn, running errands and sitting on the Couch!
