    Gun buyback El Monte SoCal

EL MONTE - El Monte police will pay $50 per firearm for the first 100 surrendered to police on Saturday as part of an effort to take guns off the streets, the department announced today.

Police also will give away gun locks during the buy-back program from 9:30 a.m. until noon behind El Monte City Hall at 11333 Valley Blvd., according to Detective David Avalos. Those who want to get rid of a gun but do not want to bring it to City Hall can call (626) 580-2110 to arrange for weapons to be picked up. Police also will accept ammunition.

Get out those junkers and get some $$$. Oh and don't forget to check out the people turning in ammo and get a receipt for your gun lock so you can use it on your next purchase.

Be sure to hold an anti-Heller pro-Obama rally while you're all at it.

I'm still amazed people here participate in this garbage.

Would you like to pay 50 bucks for a pistol that Isn't even worth a DROS?

Will they take BB guns too?. I have two that don't work anymore.

Are they also giving 50 bucks for ammo? If soo, time to head to Big Five and have different cal gunners show up with a brick of .22lr ammo each. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

When Oakland was doing 250 it was a real debate to turn in junkers. At $50 bucks...just keep it, even if it doesn't work you're better off.

I wonder what they do with the ammo? Melt it down with the guns? Boom?

Some people made out quite nicely in Don Perata's/Oakland's gun buyback several months ago.

I believe some Calgunners depleted their cash repository and they had to issue certificates redeemable for cash later.

Last I heard was that some people still had not gotten their money, what ever happened with that?

Any FFL dealers gonna go scout the people surrendering their arms, see if there is anything worth buying? Make it into a state funded gun show, using their own program against them.

I am sure the lamestream media would call a gun buyback a success and mosin nagants a SKS assualt rifle

Do you think these people are smart enough to tell an airsoft gun from a real one?
