I wish it were mine! It is my brother's but I still get brotherly access to it
I love the paper versions too, but buying stuff from authors 1000 years dead kinda sucks and it is a great way to utilize the gigabytes of books I have on my computer. It is nice to have your theology, physiology, anatomy, chemistry, biology, physics and math books all in one little thing so you can bust them out when you need to teach someone something (always getting asked math questions and such)
The kindle is pretty freaking cool. I wish the buttons were laid out a little bit differently but the fact that you can take notes with it and look up stuff on a whim without any real hassle is really nice.
