I'm kind of afraid to say this but... let's stress test this thing!
If you want to write them and ask them how to handle it, sure. My response is a paraphrase of what I was told. There is no way reDROSing would fix the problem unless they were going to cover up the first DROS which isn't possible or by this new tactic of editing the A&D Book to say he never picked up.
The DOJ did say if they pick up early on pick up day if the customer comes back in you would be ok. However logically and legally this doesn't make sense. You either wait the 10 days or you don't. Once you don't you are pretty much screwed. So as a dealer you can be honest and admit it and risk losing your license or you can simply make sure the date and time matches the ten days and hope the customer is not a DOJ agent. Obviously the ultimate goal is to not release a gun early.
