Beretta 92fs

Major police are moving away from the platform (or already have).
The Military may move away from it.
The 92FS is a wide grip, overly large gun for the 9 MM recoil.
Since new ones can be had for about $550 from BUD's gunshop...it makes it hard to drum up enthusiasm.

Lets see..
1. Buy a real Beretta 92FS complete and have it in a registered data bank...o.
2. Buy an 80%, then finish mill it out, anodize it or cerakote it, then buy a parts kit?, then a complete slide for more than $225,

The 80% option would cost more

I think that in the end you would have invested, as an inventor, in a product with ever diminishing demand because the Beretta 92FS is becoming less popular, not more popular.

Despite the comments above, I have been noticing a resurgence of the 92...no one ran away from the Beretta. Glock just undercut the crap out of them.

Its not that Glock undercut them, the dealer is the one who makes the call on pricing, I have friends in the industry that tell me that some Glock dealers are selling Them barely over cost in order to compete with the competition, other dealers followed suit and that is why Glocks can now be had for a much lower price than before, obviously they are more popular than the 92fs in terms of sales

Everyone has there opinion and i respect it.

What is this in reference to? Have you seen the cnc guns info on the beretta frame? He says it was the hardest build he has done. There is far more detailed work than a 1911 or sig frame, and both of those have been butchered by kto. I'd love a 92 frame 80%, would be fun to build. However, it will be too expensive.

If you want a handgun to build now on a quality frame, tactical machining has very nice 1911 frames.

I'm not sure why anyone thinks that the demand for the gun by police has anything to do with the desire to build them, by builders. This isn't a means to get a paperless gun and have some good investment for later down the line, it is a project to build and have something that you made.
