I was there today. Picked up a nice Condor Tactical Rifle Bag and a few Ammo Cans. Saw a Saiga 308 and a GSG-5 that both got me thinking, but decided I need to finish my current projects first.sigpic Find me on IRC chat at irc.dal.net in room #CGTComment

Didn't make it, but I seem to remember a fellow calgunner picked up a K32/model 16 S&W this time last year. I think it was foggy, even...
They should just call these damn things "ammo shows" from now on. all anybody ever talks about (as far as I can tell!) is what miwall had/didn't have.

Went there and got what I was looking for. A Saiga 7.62 and some ammo. Wanted a case but they didn't have much selection. Cow palace is a little better.Comment

Just got back from the show. Pretty warm inside the hall. Bought a Spike's lower!
My first gun purchase in CA. Spotted Iggy. Reactions from dealers were great. I don't think they like him much.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Miwall's 7.62x39 FMJ selection this time around was a bit lacking. They didn't have any of the 7.62x39 steel cased cheap stuff but rather only had the more expensive copper jacketed 7.62x39 FMJ.Show was pretty slow.
Even Miwall was slow as they did not bring all their usual stuff and even had a much healthier markup on such like 7.62 X 39 which was much higher than the internet.
Other than the first hour miwall rush not much action. By 11:00am it was really to hot to be in the mood to buy anything.
Did not really see anything new there. In fact the dealers that are always there seemed to have less on display (like miwall).
If ya have to have a gun show fix then I suppose why not go to it since there has not been one for a while, but I could have saved the $34 (bridge $4, parking $5, ticket $10, polish $5, gas $10).
All I picked up was some XM-193 at miwall for $189 (but they add huge sales tax so over $200) which was a good deal. Not much OLL evil rifle stuff. A lot of grossly over priced C&R and cowboy.
I think due to the heat (building is not air conditioned so everyone sweat and stank up the place) people did not stay long so there was none of that frenzied buyer feel at this show. I think the dealers are going to take a beating on this one.
Probably is best to wait till the last ever cow palace gun show.
