Just got back from the show. Miwall had pretty good prices on ammo, picked up some 500rd cans of .38 special for $85 and 500rd .40s&W for 90. Also got a Wasr-10 and RPK!!!! Got a good cash deal for both of them, can't wait till 9/18

Just got back, chilled out with M24armorer and domokun at M24's booth all day.

I bought a 80% AR lower, LMT 1/7 16in barrel and 4 position buffer tube.

Though Kevin Smith, he runs a FFL out of his house. The wasr-10 was $550, I know I could get a cheaper deal online but it is really hard to find a FFL to do the transfer. He sold out of the wasr while I was standing there filling out the paperwork.

Several days later the bolt was rusted shut but I guess the fouling wasnt TOO bad.

                        One of the vendors had lots of "no lock" Smiths - a 3" 24, a 6" nickel 57, a 9mm with 3" bbl and quite a few 586's.

                              Show was pretty slow.

Even Miwall was slow as they did not bring all their usual stuff and even had a much healthier markup on such like 7.62 X 39 which was much higher than the internet.

Other than the first hour miwall rush not much action. By 11:00am it was really to hot to be in the mood to buy anything.

Did not really see anything new there. In fact the dealers that are always there seemed to have less on display (like miwall).

If ya have to have a gun show fix then I suppose why not go to it since there has not been one for a while, but I could have saved the $34 (bridge $4, parking $5, ticket $10, polish $5, gas $10).

All I picked up was some XM-193 at miwall for $189 (but they add huge sales tax so over $200) which was a good deal. Not much OLL evil rifle stuff. A lot of grossly over priced C&R and cowboy.

I think due to the heat (building is not air conditioned so everyone sweat and stank up the place) people did not stay long so there was none of that frenzied buyer feel at this show. I think the dealers are going to take a beating on this one.

Probably is best to wait till the last ever cow palace gun show.
