nope, I've been practicing simplicity and practicality over confusing and tacticality
-I might show in greens or drabs (green or brown) with a chicom rig for my MP44

taisho is our poster boy for dressing simple but effective:

hahah ahhh memories i used to go to local paintball place usually had about 50 people playing airsoft .. i built an aug as crazy as you could get .. 592fps full auto although it tended to eat up pistons when doing that so you could only burst it .. had long barell hidden in a fake supressor . it was wicked and i made it to just get the guys wearing ghillie suites out cause they couldnt feel the bb's so i made one shoot 592fps with .3g or id shoot 496fps with .43g metals
i had all top quality stuff had western arms infinity svi based pistols that used red gas and shott 410fps with .25g always split up full camis vs everything else .. pretty much just go wearing pants and a buttweiser shirt and bandanna ... pretty much looked like weekend warriors but we mopped up everyone in our little 5 man team ... buddy has m60 e3 replica and that was a hose .. fun stuff

Don't be fooled as I was, this is the worst zombie movie ever!

There's a huge difference between plastic vs. lead projectiles.

Good training, but limited in actuality.

back to the original post. I've shot and played at Jericho. Its a lot of fun to shoot there.
If you don't have your own gear its ok, there is always enough stuff to go around. This place always has a lot of varitey of shooters depending on what day or weekend go. I've seen lots of young people and also lots of local sheriff and swat members.

This is where Taran Butler practices for and trains people for 3 gun and pistol competition and practical shooting. (with real guns)
If you are looking for top quality training from one of the world's best shooters, talk to Taran. His website is a little outdated but you can contact him through that. taranbutler.com

If you already shoot competitions like USPSA, or want to get more realistic training, one of the new things is to have an airsoft gun built just like your real gun. Talk to Rick at Jericho because he can set you up with custom airsoft guns. You can run scenarios with an airsoft gun that feels, functions and weighs the same as your real gun back home.

Well in my opinion there are the few that enjoy the sport and rest are total wanna-bes and kids. These wanna-bes buy top quality gear and talk crap on other people with lesser quality gear. They say airsoft is all about authenticity but none have ever been in the military, they go on military websites and search pictures and make their gear look "authentic". 6-700 dollar plate carriers, all sorts of pouches to go with it, zipties, glow sticks, fake foam SAPI plates you name it they've got it. They look like BLACKHAWK catalog puked on them and have better equipment than most .mil and leos. They will even eat MREs at the airsoft/paintball field to get as 'real' as they can.

So if this sounds like something you'd enjoy then go be all you can be haha.

Haha. It's sad but true. There are quite a few that take it too serious. That's actually the main reason I gave it up along with a few other people on the team. One of the guys that pretty much got us all into it started to go a little over the top. He started to require PT days and attendance records and all this other BS. I would always tell him 'dude, it's just a hobby. something to have fun with... if you want that much structure just join the military.' He demoted me because I couldn't dedicate enough time to the GAME because I was working full time and going to school, even though I consistently had the highest KDR on the team without going to all of his 'mandatory training sessions.' And yes, he was one of those that spent a s**t-load of money to basically look like a Black Hawk Catalog model. As he implemented more rules the team fell apart and he finally went and joined the Navy. Haven't spoken to him since.

                  This man speaks the truth

-I'll eat MREs on the field for 3-day events but it's because I hate having to bunker down and set up my esbit

I tend to go to invite-only private games. the people in our group have access to private and sanctioned land to avoid legal troubles

My son has been asking me to join him play at Jericho, I went there one time to watch and I saw some people my age playing. My son bought me an Echo 1 M4 to start with so i joined one Sunday and I was hooked after that.

I thought Ord was no longer available for play?

The field I used to frequent made everyone play...its funny to see Silicon valley dads running through the woods in slacks screaming "your hit beeeotches!" LOL

Are any of you guys looking for airsoft equiptment? Im debating on putting some of my collection for sale here in the adds. I have a few new top end stuff. NIB and customs.
