The most effective and pervasive enemy of American freedoms today is the Legacy Media. Defeat them first. -
Ares is just what happens when those of us with emotional attachment to a Right, not honored by the Government for years, open a business.
Dimitrios is no doubt a great guy and I thank him for his Service to our Country, but as a business man and 2nd A supporter... he needs to learn how to duck.
Its like taking on Mike Tyson and thinking you are going to hurt his fist with your face...Comment

I think you are under the assumption that they actually give a crap. Their actions over the last few years clearly indicate that the customer is a very distant second, and exist only to give them money so they can pull more stupid stunts to get them in the lime light, and to further damage our already delicate 2A rights.Comment

And that's exactly what I read into your post.
Whining is whining, even when justified.
And whining on a forum, when you made the choice to go there. Seriously?
Now...let me ask.
Did you order what you wanted online, and then leave a note in the special instructions have it at a location ready for pickup ??
Or was this a case of 1st come-1st served and you got there, and it was sold out ??
But for some reason, you believe you are entitled to whatever they sell.
Guess YOU are gonna be having ALOT of disappointing moments in life.
Fact is, ARES armor doesn't owe you anything. Period.
They don't have to answer their phone, or answer emails.
So go shop at parallax, or whomever else you choose.
And the rest of you that jumped on the steaming dog pile this guy posted...pathetic group-think mentality.
I guess whatever gets your post count up and makes you look like a forum tough guy.....

Amen. All spelled right with proper punctuation too.Dimitrios and Company,
I get about four emails from you a day asking for help and support along with your various sales advertisements. So today, I actually decide to bite, and let bygones be bygones, and attend your July 5th store sale. Only, it's a pretty far drive, so I try to call (and call, and call, and call) your store to ask some questions about your inventory before I make the trip (because we know how that goes...). However, nobody there can be bothered to answer the phone. Once again, I'm reminded why it is you tend to have a poor reputation among your customer base. Once again, I start to see merit in the various complaints I read about your store.
It's a holiday weekend. I set aside my morning to try and attend your event. I burnt the calories to try and give you my business. Once again you've fooled me and wasted my time. I will not be making the trip this morning. You asked me for my support, and yet you've wasted my time, again.
I will not be bothering with trying to jump through these hoops to give you my money again. I will be unsubscribing from your insanely frequent emails and calls to action. I will not be fooled again. Good luck.
P.S. Your giant sign with the scary black rifle that reads: Unserialized. No Registration. Legal. becomes a terrific anti-gun message if you simply add a question mark at the end. Subtlety, maybe you've heard the adage that you attract far more flies with honey (than with vinegar)...You're your own worst enemy and you're not doing the rest of us any favors with your F*** the world attitude. Just a parting tip, but what do I know?
Rare thing these days.
So many guys went away after '86 for playing loophole games and poking at the ATF. Then again in 2000 in CA. They will never learn.Comment

Once again , Thanks Ares Armour.
Walked in with cash. Walked out with what ever I was looking for that other shops are afraid to carry. It feels good to be in America.Comment

Just coming from a buyer's perspective, if a company was unresponsive by phone and email then I'd probably take it as a sign that they're only after a sale and not much more. Its great when everything works out, but it can be like pulling teeth to get an issue resolved if things go south (ask me how I know). Maybe that stuff doesn't matter to those that got their items just fine, but it's at least one factor that I would consider.Last edited by robodeer; 07-07-2014, 6:08 AM.Comment

Have you ever called Parallax? Good luck with that! Heck there website even sucks now but its a good store still right?Business is business no matter the day of week.
If your sales staff cannot be bothered to answer the phone, why would you expect someone to take the time to come by in person? Just so they can be ignored face to face?
I spent 1/2 my life in retail and I can tell you without a doubt, answering the phone = sales. The liberal see's the glass as half full and tries to take more.
The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.
I'm with the people on the side just pouring water in the glass trying to get a drink!Comment

Yep, Parallax doesn't/didn't answer the phone quit a bit but they have answered the last cpl times I called. When they didn't answer, I went elsewhere. They lost opportunities for about $3-4k of sales as far as I am concerned.
But at least they don't rip people off at parallax and are some of the best informed and most helpful sales staff I have encountered.sigpic
