    Dear Ares Armor

    Dimitrios and Company,

I get about four emails from you a day asking for help and support along with your various sales advertisements. So today, I actually decide to bite, and let bygones be bygones, and attend your July 5th store sale. Only, it's a pretty far drive, so I try to call (and call, and call, and call) your store to ask some questions about your inventory before I make the trip (because we know how that goes...). However, nobody there can be bothered to answer the phone. Once again, I'm reminded why it is you tend to have a poor reputation among your customer base. Once again, I start to see merit in the various complaints I read about your store.

It's a holiday weekend. I set aside my morning to try and attend your event. I burnt the calories to try and give you my business. Once again you've fooled me and wasted my time. I will not be making the trip this morning. You asked me for my support, and yet you've wasted my time, again.

I will not be bothering with trying to jump through these hoops to give you my money again. I will be unsubscribing from your insanely frequent emails and calls to action. I will not be fooled again. Good luck.

P.S. Your giant sign with the scary black rifle that reads: Unserialized. No Registration. Legal. becomes a terrific anti-gun message if you simply add a question mark at the end. Subtlety, maybe you've heard the adage that you attract far more flies with honey (than with vinegar)...You're your own worst enemy and you're not doing the rest of us any favors with your F*** the world attitude. Just a parting tip, but what do I know?

A gentleman's email . I highly doubt they will read it or even attempt to finish it. Customer service is everything in my eyes and apparently nothing in theirs.

Honestly, nothing that couldn't be purchased at pretty much every other shop but, hey, a sale is a sale. I tried calling them one last time with the same result.

A forty minute drive one-way, and about a half a tank of gas round-trip, I don't know how much I'd of saved anyway. It's really sort of the principle here: stop blasting my email with all this rhetoric if you're just going to be lazy and useless when I try to respond. Enough is enough with these guys as far as I'm concerned.

I live off of the 52. It's pretty much the same drive either direction. I actually live pretty close to Parallax which would be money far better spent, its just that siren song of a pretty decent sale that got the better of me...

Oh well, live and learn. Off to salvage what's left of the day...

It's not secret Ares is suck. You can call them three days in row, they won't respond it. All they care is your money, not to provide customer care.

You burn a half tank of gas in 80 minutes of driving? You need a different rig

So, you tried to call a store during a busy sale, nobody answered, and you complained online...

                  Good job!

Ares is in the same boat as the open carry crowd in that both like sense (or don't care) when it comes to the reality of advancing 2A rights in a hostile environment.

Both have engaged in actions that are detrimental to the cause. Both have engaged in actions which are easily used to marshall forces and legislation against us. Both fail to understand that 'shock' tactics and shoving it in people's faces do more harm than good when dealing with hostile legislators and a leery, uncertain populace.

Both also apparently seem more concerned with 'feeling like a big man' and 'being someone' than caring about the big picture. It's really just anti-social, awkward, self-unaware selfishness.

Would it have been different during a non-holiday? (Honest question.)

I am right here in Oceanside and I don't even bother going to Ares. I have considered checking out their new store(they moved one door down) but then I remember all the calgunners that have been screwed by them and I save my time and money for a better shop. I hear their commercials all day long on the radio, I wonder if they paid for those with all those pre-order products??

Business is business no matter the day of week.

If your sales staff cannot be bothered to answer the phone, why would you expect someone to take the time to come by in person? Just so they can be ignored face to face?

I spent 1/2 my life in retail and I can tell you without a doubt, answering the phone = sales.
