Dan, I read your thread early am & was gonna reply, glad I didn't. You failed to communicate for a long time, with peoples guns in your possession. Months, from what I remember & I read all that awhile back. Getting upset about someone coming over & griping how about scared someone became with a knock on your door was a futile excuse.

Seems like you just want drama, if not, let it go & attract business, not repel it! We all make mistakes, everyday we get another chance to dust off & do it again, that's the beauty of life!!!

I'm on the 'net by name & have been for a long time. People gripe all the time. I tend to focus on the positive & continue to learn & BE HUMBLE.

Any solid businessman worth his salt could shrug off one negative comment/review and let the other 99.9% of happy customers carry his reputation forward.

Okay, but between this thread and the other one, the impression I'm receiving is that quite a few people have had negative experiences with the way in which you conduct your business. So to be fair, can anyone here post about a positive experience they had with the OP?

That is why I posted his CalGuns post and the Yelp post .......... his Yelp post is complete fiction. DO you think he somehow "forgot" how badly I screwed up his pistol when he posted on CalGuns attacking me? He did not know anything about me just what was told to him by his friend .... which BTW HAS a CalGuns account and never posted anything and was completely HAPPY with his rifle (which I had for 3 months because First my health issue and the parts kit had parts out of spec and took some time to get everything to work correctly on his 80%).
Dan, we get it, Doc Hawk was not a customer. So what, he is not happy with the work you did for a friend so he posted a review. Many people do that. It is his opinion. It could easily be BS. Grow a thick skin and move on.

As far as the move on comments ....... while I have for past stuff this is not past stuff .... his Yelp post is dated 6/26/14 ...... just a few days ago.
Yes, this is past stuff just coming back. You are letting this past issue with Doc Hawk get to you so you have not moved on.

Do you realize that many people do not even read Yelp. Many know it is rigged and a scam. They will purposely put the bad reviews at the top until the business pays them then all the bad reviews go to the bottom. If I want to read reviews, I want an unbiased source, Yelp ain't it.

Most people also understand that sometimes there is a screw up. A business person is only human, things go bad from time to time. It is how you fix it that determines your character and influences my decision if I want to do business with you.

Had you ignored Doc Hawk and not posted your OP, this would have quietly gone away. You are a 1 man show and by all appearances, you have more work than you can handle. One or two lost customers because of 1 bad Yelp review will not harm you. All of the customers you will lose because of your OP will be of greater harm to your business. You may be a good gunsmith, but you are not a good businessman.

You have already admitted to hiring an attorney to get a review removed. Doing that will drive away more customers. I will not patronize any business that has ever done that because if I have a legitimate bad experience and tell someone that, I might be the next one sued.

Just for clarification, there have been many times I have been accused of things I have not done. My reputation has been unduly attacked by others. I learned the hard way that fighting back like you are doing only brings you down to their level. The people that know you already know who you are. The people that do not know you are looking at your behavior to make a judgement. If you are throwing a fit like a 2-year old, you will give them reason to believe the other person. So carry on. They will either believe you or not. If you do not add fuel to the fire, it will often die down quickly. In this day and age, it will usually be over with in a few minutes.

You cannot control the behavior others. You can only control your behavior.
Anyone can look around and see the damage to the state and country inflicted by bad politicians.

A vote is clearly much more dangerous than a gun.

Why advocate restrictions on one right (voting) without comparable restrictions on another (self defense) (or, why not say 'Be a U.S. citizen' as the requirement for CCW)?

Thank you for the advice and yes I do get upset when my character comes into question, I work very hard to try to make my customers happy in the quality of the work.

This post was posted at 2:30 am on Friday because that is the time I finally stopped working at the shop and had a minute to go on the computer. I try to do anything I can to help out customers and fully take blame when thing do not work out.

I do have many commercial clients in San Diego and Riverside counties. In fact I know there is some of you that had your firearms coated or repaired in those counties that was actually done by me. I do have to laugh sometimes when someone posts how such and such a place did a great gunsmithing/coating job but turn around say how they will not do business with me because of some of the posts on CalGuns.

But I also give serious discounts to customers when deadlines are missed without any prompting from the customer, I feel that is the right thing to do. The main reason I started my own business is because of my health issues, no company will give you a flexible schedule to work or take time off. I had some unfortunate luck over the last 2 holidays because I was working to much and aggravated by health issues to the point I have to shut down.

Learned my lesson and changed a lot of things, trying to move on but these constant attacks from old posts and by people I have never met or did work for gets frustrating.

Anyways I have deleted my post since it seems many of you think I need to and I try to be a good member on CalGuns as much as possible ..... but not perfect.

If there are companies outsourcing their Cerakote to you, I'd certainly be interested in knowing who it is.
