How many rounds before major service/replacement?

Just curious how many rounds your lets say top 3 guns have seen, before you need to do a service beyond a standard cleaning or maybe replace parts? Sorry if this is a noob question, I'm fairly new and don't have anyone I could ask this so I get my advice from this forum

Any recent 9mm or larger cal should go over 10k rounds if you lube them.

I am at 30-40 thousand rounds on my customized 2005 XD 40 Service bitone. I detail strip the slide and clean all the areas, once in a while. Other times I just field strip, clean, and lube. I use it for competitions and plinking. I also shoot pretty mild loads as I reload all of my ammo. Hotter loads would probably cause more wear. There isn't a lot to go wrong with a well built gun.

There's an Uzi at Machine Gun Vegas that's seen well over 3 million rounds.

I have to laugh at people who think their gun will fall apart after 5k.

If you take care of them, guns will outlast you, your kids, and your kid's kids.

There are a number of Glock range guns that went well over 200,000 rounds before they were returend to the factory for service.

I say blame the manufacturer instead of the dog. If it cant survive a 2 foot fall, you probably dont want it

How many miles will a car go before needing a major overhaul? Yea, it not only depends on the make and model but also the conditions it was operated in, types of lubes used and even simply the exact vehicle. You can take two consecutive wigits off the assembly line and one might outlast the other by ten times or more.

I think any high quality gun will last a lot longer than that. Where are you getting this figure?

Just shoot it to the point you think it's gone, then put on WTS for full price.

I just shoot, clean and oil til something wears out (usually springs) or breaks.

                              Repair/replace part and repeat.

You will be amazed and surprised how long a maintained gun will function. It can be measured in decades.
