I counted my ammo

I realized a while back that I had no real idea what I had or how much.

So over several weekends (a few hours here and there) I counted ALL of my ammo! It was a much bigger project than I imaged, being that said - I'm glad I did it (probably won't do it again - at least on that scale).

One thing it did show me I have a crap load of ammo (yes that's a actual measurement!) in some calibers, not so much in others.

I did it on a excel spreadsheet, so I could add up the amounts easier.

BTW - Counting loose ammo sucks!

38 special - 1 round
( because sheriff Andy and Barney Fife were right, you only need one, if you are good.)

22 LR caliber - 23 rounds ( all were fired once but they did not go off, with the marks on the rim to prove it, but .22 is hard to find, so I'm holding out, maybe they will work next time.)

5.56 - 7 rounds (they are blanks but maybe I could find a way to glue a BB on the top of them.)

454 Casull - 3527 loose reloaded rounds ( I can't afford a gun in this caliber but maybe someday I'll be able to get one.)

A cleaning rod works nicely in this situation. Just don't expect to get it back.

That's gotta be a pretty impressive stockpile if it took you several weekends to count it all!

Either that or you have a lot of loose rounds of ammo that you had to count by hand.

I would help for a small 1% of your ammo stockpile...

Only time I count my ammo is for load testing(5 rounds per load) or when I go hunting to be sure I have extra if I need it. Shooting squirrels or PD's I just make sure I have an ammo can or more.
