Yesterday while at my preferred gun store I got to see firsthand why sane people should always be legally armed.

While looking at some guns waiting for my DROS paperwork to be completed a younger male about 25yo came into the store leaving his 2 daughters (probably about 10 and 6 years old) outside.

He asked to see a small .22 auto and stated it was for his girlfriend so she could carry it on her to protect herself...

Fast forward some meaningless discussion then he asks if he can buy a gun, he states he's been committed before and was declared insane but because of his former gang affiliations he needs to protect his kids... Then the scary **** starts.

He starts going into how he will kill and torture anybody who hurts or threaten to hurt his family and how regardless of you being a gang banger a cop anybody on the street who looks at his family wrong he'll come after you. How his hands are registered deadly weapons, how he goes crazy and may be committed again....

The three of us customers all took steeps back and looked at each other almost in disbelief...

The employees did a good job of keeping him level headed by not telling him to get the **** out or anything to set him off. But now the kicker as he is leaving, he lets us all know that even though he is not allowed near a gun or to buy a gun he carries one anyways... loaded and ready to go...

Wow. Just wow. Props to the salesperson at the store. Glad nothing happened at that point, but sounds we may soon be seeing him on the news. Sad for his kids.

There is a very old thread on here about the nut case that went into Reeds in Santa Clara a while back when it was called something else. He rented a rifle and was planning on a mass shooting there and at some night club.

I can't post the link (on iPhone), but the thread is from 2007 and fortunately keeps popping up and is a great read.

Hopefully this guy was just a bunch of hot air. But, seeing what happened at UCSB last night, we can't be too sure these days. That was all because he couldn't get laid. What an absolute tool.

what do you prefer to carry
How do you prefer to carry it
and what ammo do you like the best.
By then you could have figured out if he was full of it OR where he had it on himself.
