    Ordering on the Internets

The general rule is ... if you are going to order from the big boys ...
    Brownells
    MidwayUSA
    Midsouth Shooters
    Natchez
Optics Planet, (actually, if you take some effort you can get free shipping here)
    ...
    etc

Then, you really ought to place a minimum $50 order.

Otherwise, it would be better to order Brownell's stuff on-line over at Amazon.com. The issue with Amazon is that they have lots of free shipping... however, their super-saver shipping thing usually has a $37 minimum.

I have had opposite experience as you, with Midway being really expensive. Hell, they even kept shipping me the same incorrect stock over and over again. I even marked the package with a sharpie to see if I'd get the wrong stock back again... I did...
Just got something from Brownell's on Saturday; it was USPS. 4 ounces, a hammer and sear, $7.95 to ship it. Should of gone in a padded envelope, but they packed it in a box that would hold a cantaloupe.

I don't shop there because of that reason.

Ahh you guys do know you can call Brownells and REQUEST them to ship a item U.S.P.S. right (not a default option you have to call them)???????????

            Just saying

and as stated above Brownells is like CostCo you buy in bulk because their shipping rates are AWSOME when you just bought a item that weights 50 lbs and you only pay $7.95 for shipping. While brownells does sell to the public 85% of their business is to Gunsmiths and Firearms Manufacturers.

Not just Brownell's, but a lot of vendors will do alternative shipping methods (such as USPS) if you call and ask nicely. These vendors want your business and most of them are very cordial about trying to please you.

This is exactly the point of my thread. Thank you for your response.

Yes, I could've bought a $100 dollars worth of items to get free shipping. Wow, that's logical, . That's like when a woman says "look hon, I spent $200 at Macy's and 20% off, oh yeah and I put it on the CC @ 18% interest".

                Sorry for the sarcasm

Got my grip screws today, could've fit 500 rds of 45 ammo into the size of the box they used for a set of grip screws,

Oh, it it was shipped USPS First Class Package.

Got a nifty 75 yr Brownell's sticker, that has to be worth $4-5 bucks, right?

So then what IS your complaint????

That is like going to Costco but only need 1 can of beans and not the box of 12 and complain that Costco doesn't want to break open the box to sell you 1 can.

You know your shipping cost before you ever complete your order and can always ASK for cheaper option. It is not like Brownells hides the shipping cost until after you pay for the order like some sites do.
