My usp 45 had only one malfuction, and that was a failure to go into complete battery, while using magtech 230gr +p hollow points. Like the case was out of spec. I was unable to pull slide back, I was forced to slam the slide forward to completely seat the round.

I've had bad experience with Magtech. Both with ammo and customer service.

          It works. Nothing special.

Haven't seen any in a while.

Well, I back ordered 4,000 rounds of the 9mm a month ago and still have not seen it. But, I did get a great price on it. Looks like I'll be getting some 45 and 38S too. thanks everyone for the input.

It's good clean ammo. Nothing to worry. As long as we are not talking performance self defense, when the bullet construction becomes the primary concern.

Magtech self defense bullets indeed had expansion issues and would be considered suboptimal. Just also remember that *any* ammo is better than *no* ammo in a self defense situation and that poor shot placement cannot be corrected by good bullet construction. How much weight you're going to give to type of bullet vs. ensuring that you always carry a gun is a personal balance.

I'm not looking for magtehs JHP, I'll stick with my TAP and hydro-shoks for that. I was just looking to see if it performed the same as I experienced in my Sig. My 45 kimber will shoot anything I feed it, but my 945 is a different animal, it's a little picky.

Ive used Magtech .38 Super ammo for Taurus Pt38s and Taurus PT-1911 and it has been reliable and accurate. No problems at all.

As (almost) everyone else said, you are good to go.
