        Some 10 round .40 pistol magazines will hold more than 10 rounds of 9mm. It's not illegal either as long as you didn't have to modify the .40 mag to work in a handgun chambered in 9mm.

          I know someone with a bunch of different brands of GI style mags and the 30 rd mags will hold 11 .458 socoms. The eleventh is very hard to get in there but it does cram in. I guess you could throw some rivits down low on the mag to restrict it to 10 .458's but as delivered they wouldn't be legal.
