    What to call Bullets?

    Well, here's another rant...
I see folks offering bullets for sale, but they can't quite bring themselves to call 'em bullets.
They describe them as projectiles, slugs, pills, and the most egregious of all..."Bullet Heads". Correction: most egregious is "Boolets"
I think the reason they don't call them bullets is because they think the entire cartridge is called a bullet. They don't know that only the part that fly's from the muzzle to the target is the bullet. The "Antis" often refer to the number of bullets a magazine will hold.
I realize that most people couldn't care less what others call anything, but it bothers me, so that's it...

I can fit about 300 5.56 bullets in my 10 round CA mags though.

Seems to me that most reloaders call them bullets when posting in the reloading forum. When they're posting in other forums, too many people think 'bullets' are /cartridges' so they use 'projectile' or other words to eliminate confusion and useless responses.

I call them projectiles. However, I am a reloader. I have been known, from time to time, used the redneck vernacular and called them 'pills'.

Loaded rounds are called ammunition, or ammo.

You nailed it. But that doesn't stop the useless responses.

How many ammo can you load in a 10 round mag?

Exactly el dub. If I post for sale 5.56 bullets and the person buying expects cartridge. Then theres a problem when he receives something he didnt expect. So to ease the confusion I would post projectiles.

Why would a reloader expect cartridges when you post "bullets"?
                  Oh well...I know

"Could care less" is far more annoying:

Maybe it should be ... How many ammo can you load in a 10 round clip? ... And how many clips can you shoot with a single pull of the trigger?

If I remember correctly boolets is the correct terminology for cast projectiles.
