It's just a receiver . . . if someone was selling their AW, why would they break it down to the receiver level and sell just that? Indicates to me they want to rebuild as a non-AW on an unregistered receiver . . . when they could have just unregistered the thing.

I hate people that are full of hate.
It's not illegal to tip for PPT! -
With all due respect, I live up that way and I think people in the Bay Area have to be a few rounds short of a full mag to live in that hell hole.
When my FFL shows up in a few weeks and I get on that CA dealer list I will prove you wrong. Until then, just keep bashing us up here in the North State. No traffic, ample public shooting outdoors, lakes, mountains, rivers, hunting, fishing, new 3br, 2ba houses for $250k, etc.sigpic

I was up there two weeks ago and talked to one of the sales people (could have been the owner, I don't know.) I asked why he had no Saigas or AR type rifles, even though they are legal to own/sell as long as they are configured properly.
He simply said that Saigas are in a gray area and his local DOJ agent has warned them about OLL's in the past. He said there are too many other things the DOJ can nail a shop with if they want to look REALLY hard. He does not want to invite any extra scrutiny. I said fair enough, but you will be loosing a good amount of business. He considered the loss an insurance premium.
Personally I don't agree with him, but it is his business and he can run it how he likes. We will just be spending our money elsewhere.Comment

I believe the receivers are from registerred assault weapons, hence no transfer in CA. Prior to the CA aw ban Jone's Fort had probably the best collection of EBR's in Shasta County, especially FAL's, HK's and AR's.
Jone's Fort doesn't do OLL's.. so what? Lots of places don't. The Jone's are actually very knowledgeable about firearms, just not about the OLL movement. Their also big supporters of hunting/shooting charities and have been working hard on establishing a new public shooting range for a long time.
Personallly, I'm glad to call them my friends, and don't care if they don't do OLL's.
When urban shooters don't support hunters and more lead ammo bans pass, don't be surprised. That is the same mentality that got the '94 AW ban through, and will eventually stop all shooting sports and hobbies, even the ones the Jones support.Comment

Jones fort are nothing but fudd spreaders just search prevous threads on the Jones fort subject. Another thing" fact that they are worried about scrutinization from Shasta Co. DOJ is BS since they all seem to be seem to be sniffing the butts of Redding area LEO's. Your better off spending your money at Olde West or Nice ShotSome say that he once mooned two prostitutes just for a round of drinks, but wasn't surprised by the reply......They call him, the Hutch
