If this was meant for me, then you are wrong. Two grown kids, first grandson is 21 and in the Army (enlisted for infantry) and second is 3yo.
I grew up in the "if you are gonna play with that gun, be careful it's loaded" generation and NOT the current "there's a gun, so scream and hide" generation.
Parents were smokeing, drinking and letting kids ride a bike/skateboard/scooter without full body armor.Comment

I'd be fine with an outdoor range, but indoor seems like I'd personally recommend otherwise.

I was wondering your true POV cause it at first sounded like more "no more govt" talk but I agree that people are over protective and raising more liberals as a result. I am the dad at the park that you hear a lot of "can you see the bone, bleeding or feel woosy?" No then go play.
On the opposite end, when we have another one, all safety precautions apply to her pregnancy. My 5 year old was a pound so seeing your baby struggle is not something I wish to do again. And his mother had an incompetent uterus, no outside forces. I wish I would have known she was incompetent too...lolOriginally posted by TonyNorCalIf I'm going to spend money to touch a woman then it's going to be at a Nevada brothel, on Craiglist hooker, or trolling the streets in a camper van.

I personally think it's not the greatest idea because of the loud noise. I'm not a doctor but I know that at some point the fetus develops its ears and can be sensitive to sound. I imagine you could hurt that process by introducing the fetus to the loud report or firearms.
That being said, one trip the range probably isn't going to do anything."Far and away the best prize life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing." - Theodore Roosevelt

In talking with our Dr. he says noise is transmitted very well to the fetus. Hence why he said to start listening more to Led Zepellin so when she's born she's already inoculated against Bieber type music. Ok not really but sound travels very well to the baby. I can't help but think the sound would be at least as damaging to the baby as it would a full grown adult if not more.
My wife is 7 months along and there is no way I'd let her shoot indoors or out..Originally posted by jmonte35Disagree. Been trying to teach lewdogg21 how to hunt. It's like trying to teach Steve Wonder how to see. Not sure we're ever going to get there.Comment

You got it lol ^5 with the California democrat legislature writing about 2000 laws every year I'm surprised they missed that one !
My wife and I shot at outdoor ranges while she was pregnant, our baby had no problems .
My wife thought it was important to protect herself and our future child by being competent with her handgun.
I honestly don't know about the effects of shooting at indoor ranges while pregnant, however I just maybe learned something from a dogpile search !
Shooting While Pregnant: Dangerous or Not?
By Elizabeth Kennedy and Fabrice Czarnecki, M.D.
Unfortunately, there are no definitive studies that clearly answerthis question.
When this topic first came up this author contacted several respecteddoctors for their opinion (including the co-author of this article)as to whether a pregnant student should participate in a firearmstraining
course for women. The doctors we contacted seemed to agree thatthere was no reason why she shouldn't shoot. We knew the rangewas lead-free and the ammunition was frangible, and with thatproviso, the doctors all agreed.
.
Then someone brought up the question of the noise, and no oneseemed to have any answers as to whether that could harm the baby, and thus began a quest to find out the truth about shooting andpregnancy.
This is an important topic for women in law enforcement, andright now, EVEN IF agencies do have a policy in place, that policyisn't based on factual information that comes from studies onshooting while pregnant. (See sidebar on Policy.) Firearms instructorsand range officers in most police departments don't have medicaldegrees, and so armed with whatever knowledge and experience theyhave, they make their best guess. That is, unless an order comes"down from above" which usually means
the lawyers had a hand in it. It' strictly liability protection, but if that is in the best interests of mother and child, that'sfine.
Many experts in the field share the same sentiments regardingtraining courses. Massad Ayoob, a widely regarded expert in theindustry says: "I recall one obstetrician writing a few yearsago that you shouldn't worry about it. That said, I can usuallytaste lead after I've been on a 'lead free range.' And I'm nota fetus. My own gut reaction is not to do it."Last edited by ja308; 04-16-2014, 8:28 AM.Comment

Shooting, inside or outside, is NFG during pregnancy.
Surprised the question is being asked.
