I would think they would at least have a printed hand out for transporting your firearm legally.
legal for a long gun. Not for a handgun or AW

I see your point but is it the LGS employee's responsibility to ask what kind of vehicle you drive?? If you had a vehicle with a locking trunk and you placed that firearm inside of the trunk, then you would be legal.

When you bought your last car, did the salesman tell you all the laws to drive that new car home?

Something to consider is that I can imagine that most businesses wouldn't necessarily want their employees giving legal advice on their company's behalf either.

If you can get to the trunk from the backseat. It is no longer considered a lockable. So I have heard....

Maybe we should let people pass along bad advice just cause you say so. Nope doesn't sit well with me. What if he would have went the other way and said "yeah loaded mags are fine in the gun as long as its locked"

You have no idea what the outcome is, are you psychic? Either way, sell your wares and leave the law giving to the DOJ.

You don't like my rant, here is some not illegal advice with no negative outcome whatsoever, STAY OUT OF THIS THREAD

I stopped shopping at Turners a long time ago. No need when there are plenty of smaller local gun shops.

Turners WC would ALWAYS let me do this with no questions asked. I wouldn't say anything or ask them about any laws, and they would just give me the handgun in an unsecured box that it came in, along with the lock still in the zip lock bag.

This was about 7-8 times from 2010-2012 and I know management has changed there since then (I haven't purchased or PPT'd a handgun there since, but that's because of other reasons), but seeing this thread and that post made me realize what I had experienced.

I don't have a paper towel, but will a Kleenex do. hahaha

Turners has good ones. I sold a firearm to a co-worker.
He needed his HSC card, went to a Turners to take the HSC test, and was told that he can't take the HSC test there, only if he is buying the firearm from them.
Wow that's a new one. Anyways I just told him to make sure he has paper towels to legally transport the weapon. Buhahaha

I realize its not there responsibility to make sure your transporting your new firearm legally but just from a business standpoint i would be selling a lot more lockable boxes in my store.
