I was just wondering how long everyone has been into "BOOMSTICKS" (did you wish you started earlier?) and if you guys have tried to get your spouses into it. (failed or succeeding in doing so?)

First: Boomsticks, at least in my experience refer only to shotguns/long guns

Second: I was expecting something a lot weirder when I read the title of this thread.

Third: If you mean guns, not just shotguns, I started shooting at 11 got my first gun at 13 (not counting all the pellet guns and bb guns I had) And yeah I wish I got started younger, but I think a lot of kids today are ****ing nuts and cannot be trusted with a weapon.

Always been interested in shotguns since i was a young kid. Couldn't start when i was young because I wasnt old enough to buy my own and i lived in an "anti-gun" home. I mean what kid didnt want to be Doc Holiday with a coach gun?

ive been into boom sticks all my life, oras long as i can remember, i was always fasinated by war and weapons and such , but since living in CA i though we were doomed till i found this site may of 2008 when i found this site....now 3 months later i got an SKS, Lee enfield , AR-15, RPK, AK-47 and im only 20!!!

1962.That's me age 12, on the left, with .22 single shot rifle. I think it was a Winchester. Damn, it was accurate on cottontails and jacks in the Mojave Desert. Apple Valley was jack rabbits and coyotes under every bush back then. Those were the days.
That's my big brother, Jimmy, armed with (I think) a S&W 1905 4th change Hand Ejector 32 WCF revolver. He went on to be a state champ sillhouette shooter in Mich.

We had "Fanner 50" revolvers, but Dad took them away for a little while 'cause we were acting too big for our britches. It was our first experience with gun control.

I have been shooting since I was about nine, then went hunting from then on til 16, took a break from guns, then turned 18 and have been buying and going out as much as I can, and have brought as many non-shooters shooting as I can. Its great because every one of them has enjoyed shooting.
