But I can paraphrase your post as such "an FFL is saying what I want to do is a felony, how can I get around this..."

If the dealer isn't going to listen you'll have to take it somewhere else

Got to a different ffl. I just ppt'd a chicom with lug (no bayo) a month ago without a blink.

Absolute FUD on the FFL's part and I can only wonder what that FFL is doing in the business if that is what they believe. I can not even begin to tell you how many semi-auto rifles WITH bayonet lugs AND/OR the bayonet attached, that I've bought or PPT'ed at dealers in the last 2 decades.

That's right up there with thinking threaded muzzles on a rifle are still an issue. I would no longer do business with that FF as there is no telling whatever other ideas and incorrect information they procure about the law, might be at your own expense.

note to "dskit" No i am not asking how to get around any law.
yes i tend to not get words down all that good sometimes was a quick posting.
but never heard of a desl where all sks rifles are aw cause one country ver of a sks style rife had a launcher on it.
to look art the yugo is is not a sks just there name of sorts on it.

was also giving a bit of grief over a saiga. but did that rifle. first was calling it a "ak".
then confused the sks with a "ak". even tried to remove the mag well assemble from the sks.

but i still have my bedside goto gun.
