    Which would you choose?
I only see one gun on that list for self defense . . . XD9! (I have 3 of them)

Of the other two, one is good range gun and the other might explode!

(the above comments are meant in fun and good ribbing)

Glock 22, nothing wrong with the other two two choices though.

It's a trap! The antis will see the winner of the list and ban every other gun!
It doesn't matter how scary, ugly, uncomfortable, or inconvenient self defense can be. Like it or not, you will never, ever be relieved of your duty and responsibility to defend your life, your family, your country and your freedom.

How much ammo do I need? Enough to last me the rest of my life, and then lot more for later.

The government does not come knocking at your door. It comes knocking down your door.

Probably the XD9. I like Glocks but I'm not a fan of .40 caliber. IMO, if you're going to pick the 40, you might as well get a .45. I don't shoot a 1911 very well but the low round count isn't a deal breaker.

If I could only have one gun period and had to choose from the list I would choose the XD9 because of the caliber. Adding to my collection from the list I would chose the Glock.

Glock 22, with the 1911 a close second. If it is more for a range gun, or if you prefer the 1911 controls, I might choose the 1911 instead.

                              1911 all the way.

It depends on if you have standard capacity mags for the g22. If so I'd go with the glock. If not I'd go with the 1911. My philosophy, if you can only punch 10 holes, make them the biggest holes possible. I do love my 1911 for the record.
