    Thru the NRA,

Exclusive underwriting authority. Specialized expertise. Dedicated teams. At Lockton Affinity, we construct unique, customized insurance solutions for a vast array of clients in industries across a wide spectrum.

Rates start at just $65 annually for $6,500 in coverage

Firearms valued at $2,500 or more must be scheduled.
However, serial numbers are not required.

Do you know of anyone who has ever filed a claim with this company?

I like the fact that it is backed by the NRA, but I would lie to hear how their service it.

Is the $2500 the coverage included in your standard contract or is that the max limit?

Generally speaking, homeowner policies include a maximum coverage limit for unscheduled items. The limit can usually be increased by scheduling the guns with the insurance company (providing make, model, serial and value).

We have State Farm which is also $2,500, but we added a rider for next to nothing per year and it raised it up.

I can't remember now if it raised it to $5,000 or $7,500. I should probably check, it was enough when I did it but the collection has grown a little since then.

I think I'm at the upper limit of coverage with them, so if I want more I'd have to get it through someone else.

I've heard you're lucky to get 50% market value if you file a claim.

I have a policy through this company:

CIS offers the best collectibles insurance service for whatever you consider valuable- vintage guns, sports cards, comic books, and more!

                Very reasonable.

The $2500 is the standard coverage. To go higher, it must be scheduled first.

You'll need to check if your policy is Replacement Cost or Actual Cash Value. I have no clue what NRA policy is but if its ACV than yeah expect to get a lot less than what you expect as it takes depreciation into consideration.

This reminds me to tell you any of guys if you have any modification to your guns is to let your insurance agent know about it. My buddy had NRA policy and had his clays gun stolen. His Beretta shotgun I believe it was a DT11 was heavily modified with a lot of expensive stockwork, and gunsmithing none were included when he filed a claim.

Can you provide more details? I'm curious as to how your experience was, and was it with Lockton?
