did you try to explain to your friend how it works?

Not my friend, just the person that reviews the cases my work generates and determines if or how they want to prosecute them.

Started with asking her DA Investigators what they thought of it (both thought it was illegal). We then bumped it up to her, while she had some down time waiting for my boss.

That's her opinion and is unwilling to change it unless her boss (Riverside County District Attorney) or CA DOJ says otherwise.
