Russian situation and effect on ammo

I can only see Russian/Romanian x54r, and 5.45 really being an issue. Other than that, x39 should be ok

Thought I'd chime in since this exact issue/question came up in an email exchange with a milsurp ammo vendor (prefer to not name the vendor). I had emailed him asking about future availability of a particular flavor of 54R, and in his reply he added a general statement about events in Ukraine possibly having an impact on price and availability some time in the near future. It was speculative, but based on input from an importer he deals with.

So this is a question that is being asked and considered by those in the business.

Looking around online I see that prices are essentially what they've been since the panic began to wane (54R was the first caliber I use/follow to return to pre-panic prices) - as noted by some others up-thread. So no apparent impact yet.

I have a fairly good stock but added two cans last week. The 54R in cans is so logistically friendly, so reasonably priced as it is, and I shoot so much of it, that it is the one caliber I "stack deep".
