I believe you can be released in less then 72hrs on a 5150 hold....it's up to the attending psychiatrist. Years ago, a former coworker of mine, told me her husband was being held on a 5150......he was released after 24hrs. Supposedly he had some sort of rare, but not unheard of, psychotic reaction/side effect to some pain medicine he had been prescribed for an injury

You where in the drunk tank, if it was a 5150....YOU'D KNOW. Good luck with the rest.

I'm with the people on the side just pouring water in the glass trying to get a drink!

My brother attempted to OD, he took 500 various types of pain killers, etc. He told the deputy what hook,, and coded before the ambulance left the scene. It was deemed "accidental". He was released from the hospital a couple of days later. Of all people who should have prevented ownership, it should have been him. He never was prohibited.

You were drunk and tazed. I wouldn't worry.

Wrong. You can be held for up to 72 hours. I've seen people released after a few hours if the Doctor thinks they are good to go.

ninja750r, congrats on being alcohol free.
Hopefully you weren't 5150'd and APPS doesn't come knocking on your door in the future.

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.
