I was a little older, and saw the whole thing unfold on the news in the UK. My house was a gun owning house and my family had friends that were as well.

Watched the whole thing unfold as the emotional response kicked in and the vast majority of guns went away and those that remained were under so many laws and regulations it would be funny if it wasn't so

Then living here and watching the Sandy Hook tragedy unfold... I thought the same thing was going to happen.

Instead, if anything the country as whole has gotten better if you look further than Cali and New york... and now things are even looking better here.

    I love this country.

They've been arguing this for years

Other than give them something to argue about after football season is over(Soccer) that's about the only reason why they keep at it.

The Scots are horrified at weaponry in the hands of thugs(meaning anybody that walks in public). I was backpacking in the UK in '96 and they had an information campaign about how dangerous knife carrying hooligans were and that the bobbies were currently conducting a 'stop and frisk' campaign in Glasgow.
