"Take The Pain" is a pretty fun shooting game. You take turns shooting each other in the toe. Everyone who can "take the pain" moves on to Round 2, where you shoot each other in the foot. In Round 3 you shoot the ankle, and then you keep moving up until only one man is left standing. If you haven't played it much, I recommend starting out with a .22. I also recommend you bring along a good medical kit.

[Okay, if there are any impressionable kids reading this, I'm just kidding. Don't try this at home! Seriously!]

Other than that, there is a lot of good stuff here: http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/brows...ordsPerPage=48

You could also stop by your local grocery store and pick up a truckload of various vegetables. They might even give you the old stuff for free. I go to a local outdoor range that sells pumpkins. It's fun. First you "carve" a face with a .22, and then you blow it apart with the biggest caliber ammo you have (00 Buckshot is always a crowd pleaser, but .30-06 from long distance gives it a run for its money).

Be creative and have fun, but BE SAFE!

It's still paper but could be fun:
      • Tic-Tac-Toe

      • Battle Ship. Easy version would be a target like the pic below. To make it tougher, just a grid where the actual 'battleships' are hidden like the real game.

This could be one-on-one or a team event. You can also setup a bracket style tournament like March Madness

The potatoes are GREAT fun, although I'm looking into doing oranges/apples/melons next time I go for better visibility.

I agree. You will have way more fun and get to shoot all kinds of targets you would never be able to anyplace else.

If your shooting at paper. A game of horse is fun. I usually bring several guns for horse. Pick a gun, distance, target & shooting style.

Call around to local Tractor Repair shops, Junk-yards, Salvage Yards, and ask for used Tractor Scraper blades and plough disks. They are made out of hardened or abrasion resistant steel. They will hold up pretty well as targets, they will definitely wear out with rifle use, but will get a bit of mileage. If they are too big, an aceteline torch will cut them down, and most of those places would have one and would probably do a couple cuts without issue.
