Not when it comes to: 1.) Safety issues 2.) Offending others.

Certainly not "common sense" to all.

        Open to the public.

You need to hang a round a little more. This guy has a long standing habit of pontificating on on the minutea what others should and shouldn't do, and how they comport themselves. He starts threads like this then they devolve into him lecturing everyonoe on how they should adhere to his standard. He doesn't want your opinion, he wants to talk condescendingly to as many people as possible.

But there are already enough rules, and as for gang attire that reminds me of school now allowing us to wear ANY sports team jerseys to school. Not even T shirts because it was "Gang Attire" Gangs don't have attire. I'm sorry they wear clothes of all shapes and sizes. Welcome to fashion or lack there of.

But your list is a good idea for range attire but not suited or reasonable for ALL.
Sure they do. I live far from the hood and my home range is even further away but every once in a great while I see people (usually in groups) dressed as bangers or more likely, wannabe bangers.

If you own the range have it your way with as many rules as you like. If you are a guest at a range mind your own business. I mean this in all aspects. it is none of your business if your gun is better than mine or my bullets make you uncomfortable or I shoot a magnum without ear protection. Just plain and simple none of your business. I re-qualified recently on an outdoor range with four firing stations I was placed in number two position. To my right was a lady with a low cut blouse and push up bra. We fired seven rounds and number six and seven found their way down her blouse and apparently were hot judging the way she jumped around and then she looked at me and said why didn't you tell me that gun throws brass? Nobody will have to tell her how to dress next time she had a learning experience.

I only shoot at public ranges to qualify or compete as Ron White says you can not fix stupid.

If you are not the range officer my safety is none of your business. Try minding your own business is my rule of thumb.

It's pretty remarkable that anyone would argue against making eye protection mandatory. Sad actually.

What's with the rant? Read the question I asked:

"If it was up to you, what would you require shooters to wear at a public gun range?"

                  You sound overly self conscious?

Actually as shown, those booties would be funnels for hot brass.

Methinks we need to take old school Vietnam era tiger stripe camo and make it the official "Militia" pattern. Then, have BDU tops made with the pattern and call it the official "USA Militia" uniform along with your choice of boots, pants, and hat.

Since we are all part of the militia, it would only make sense to have everyone get a common uniform. Maybe it would help to unify gun owners.

                            .

Minimum for me, ear and eye pro, anything for safety should be mandatory. Other attire well for me, to each his own. If you get brass in the face because your not wearing a ball cap or down in your clothing, it's all on you. Mandating other clothing is overkill. Just as long as you have eye and ear pro and shooting safe, I don't care what you wear.
