I think this is a great idea. I think companies like Endo Clothing are doing a similar thing (but I have to admit I don't care the majority of their designs). I know for me being a mid twenties guy, college educated, and with at least some sense of style, having apparel choices available that express the pro gun lifestyle while still looking good, has been something I've wanted for some time and have been unable to find.
I feel like a lot of pro gun apparel companies end up making designs that come across really aggressive, which is not necessarily a bad thing, when you wear them surrounded by people who agree with the sentiment. That being said, there's a time and place for everything and I want to be able to wear items that show my interest and sophistication on a daily basis. The elite armchair operators can wear their "I Mm The Sheepdog" shirts, and the old timers can wear their NRA lifetime membership clothing. That's all well and good, but it really doesn't fit me and my personality.
I'm sure there will be plenty of old schoolers who will take the hard-nosed tact saying "Who cares what you wear?!" and such but in reality, the rest of society cares, and they're the ones that need convincing that we as gun owners don't fit the stereotypes the left has created for us.
As much as some members of the community would like us to raise the proverbial middle finger to the rest of the world (which I agree with in principle) we don't have much of a future in terms of growing the lifestyle and therefore growing support for 2A causes if we shut everyone out. Breaking down the stereotypes surrounded gun owners is a great way to start bringing people into the fold while not compromising our cause. The best way to do this in my opinion is by breaking into popular culture and portraying guns and gun rights in a positive and sophisticated light. Which it appears Dopesett attempts to do.
I hope your brand gets off the ground. I and very much looking forwards to seeing it be successful."Far and away the best prize life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing." - Theodore Roosevelt

Trollin' Trollin' Trollin' Trollin' WHAT!
I think you should take your own advice and "if you don't like it, go somewhere else." Say... The Brady Campaign boards, where your opinions will be better received.Last edited by omgwtfbbq; 02-02-2014, 11:28 AM."Far and away the best prize life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing." - Theodore Roosevelt

Slick design. Just followed you on Instagram. I'm a Teacher and I know the feeling of being limited on the types of clothes I can wear. But its a cool feeling when I wear a firearm related logo that isn't obvious to the non shooter and I have parents come up to me and support it. Keep your logos simple, sleek and abstract and I will be purchasing.Comment

There is no week nor day nor hour, when tyranny may not enter upon this country, if the people lose their supreme confidence in themselves -- and lose their roughness and spirit of defiance -- Tyranny may always enter -- there is no charm, no bar against it -- the only bar against it is a large resolute breed of men.

You are absolutely correct and I completely share your views and thus the reason for Dopesett. Thank you for your support.Last edited by mr_benster; 02-03-2014, 10:55 AM.Comment
