Campus bans guns: should I still carry?

Just wondering if its worth the risk of carrying concealed on campus. I currently go to a university in Arizona that bans guns on campus, even though it is constitutional carry once I step off campus. I was planning on carrying my M&P9c in a secure holster in my backpack.

No one is going to search my bag unless its for a good reason. I keep a low profile so I see no reason why someone would stop me in the middle of the day to search my backpack.

I just don't want to be a victim and don't want others to be victims, either. If a psychopath decides to commit his atrocity on campus, I want to put an end to it before he/she annihilates an entire lecture hall. God knows how many people could be killed before police arrive. That is why I want to carry on campus.

If you're willing to accept the consequences of getting caught with it, carry it! If you're not, don't.

        It really is that simple.

Obviously it's your decision. I'd say go fort it, but make sure you're willing to face the consequences.

Under AZ laws, carrying on campus is a misdemeanor/felony wobbler.

If you're willing to accept the consequences of having an active shooter kill you and your classmates while you are impotent to the threat, go ahead and let them violate your constitutional carry and leave it at home.

As much as I don't like it, I have to say don't do it. Let's ignore the possibility of a felony conviction as it seems likely that if you're only caught for possession, it ought to wobble the right way. BUT (and this is your real risk) if caught, you WILL be kicked out of school, and possibly (likely?) never get into another. All it takes is a single ex with a grudge, an indiscreet friend, or just some random A-hole who points a finger and says "he has weed in his backpack", and the rest of your life is ruined.

Carry and keep your mouth shut, don't tell ANYONE!!! If you get caught YOU made the mistake of letting someone know. That includes them seeing it, keep it covered at all times also.

                      Remember, keep your mouth SHUT!!!

I don't think its worth your education and your future employment. If no school allows you to attend their campus after getting caught it may be even harder to get a good job.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.

If you do plan on carrying, whatever you do, don't post it up on an open forum. People might find out.
