        Any cross-body draw has the potential to sweep the front on the draw.

        Horizontals also point someplace other than 'down', and some argue that that sweeps the people behind the shoulder-holster wearer.

          I sometimes carried my M9 in Afghanistan that way. There was only one other person I ever saw carrying in a shoulder holster. Even some of the guys with high-speed thigh rigs thought the shoulder holster was a pretty cool idea. I loved the setup; it was very convenient and unobtrusive. I only carried that way on the FOB, however. It was difficult to use the shoulder holster with body armor; so when I was outside the wire, and required to wear armor (which I didn't always), I used a pistol belt.

            Where you pull it straight out, then twist your wrist so the muzzle points down, then up and on target.
