The M-16A2 trigger group has a pair of disconnects that allow the the selector to use one or the other disconnector during firing. The selective fire kit as Scott Bell and John Norrell developed it, uses one disconnector that has a notch cut into it preventing the LL from tripping it, while the second disconnect does not have this notch and is tripped by the link causing full auto operation as with the standard AR-15 disconnector.

Its a burst trigger with two different disconectors.

It is a mod that allows you to have none-one-fun capabilities in an AR lower, using a lightning link. This page also has everything you ever wanted to know about the Lightning Link. Personally, I'm fascinated with them. One of the most ingenious, actually-safe, full-auto hacks I've ever seen. Works just like a real auto-sear, but with zero M16 FCG parts.

To the original poster, you can get "50%" lightning links on gunbroker. DONT buy one. California may not have constructive posession laws, but the BATFE will nail your *** to the wall if you so much as even think about building one of these.

Research them, look at the pretty pictures online, but don't buy one.

I used to have an M16 auto-sear on my keychain when I DID NOT own an AR15, just for novelty purposes. As soon as I DROS'ed my first lower I tossed it in the trash, never to be seen again.
