I thought this post was gonna be about how their website is terribly maintained. About half the time I search for something, I get an error message.If you're not a resident of California, please don't waste your time trying to sell handguns here. A: your handgun is not on the approved list, and can't be sold here or B: We can already get it here with less hassle.
Thank you CGF and Leadership FFLs for NeRFing the roster!Comment

Well first, best of luck. Perhaps you will succeed where I and I presume others have failed.This is the snipped from my letter to them:
The second problem was checking out with bullets (just the projectile) in my cart. I was notified to my surprise that I was not allowed to ship projectiles (.308 sierra matchking) to my work address in San Francisco. I am well versed in local and state firearm laws (thanks to www.calguns.net and www.calgunlaws.com) and there are no restrictions on shipping loaded ammunition or components to the city and county of San Francisco or the state of California.
<cut>
My father and I have been a long time customers of Midway USA until you enacted these restrictions on the people who need your help the most. People always point and laugh at California and San Francisco's crazy restrictions, but it is the retailers who are afraid to ship into these places, even in accordance with the law, that are depriving citizens of the means to defend themselves. I fulfilled my order through another retailer who had a working shopping cart and was happy to ship to my work address in San Francisco. As long as these restrictions are in place, I will only patronize those businesses who help the few San Franciscans who enjoy the free exercise of our second amendment rights. I sincerely hope that you reconsider your restriction on shipping ammunition components to the city and county of San Francisco so that we my be able to do business in the future. If there is a local ordinance banning the shipment of projectiles to San Francisco, I apologize, but I have not heard of such a restriction since Proposition H was overturned. If you with to contact me to discuss this further, blah blah <snip>
Just to be clear everyone, we're talking about reloading components only - not loaded ammo. Basically, empty brass and plain old bullets in a bag. There is no SF law that I have ever found that restricts sale of RELOADING COMPONENTS through the mail. I have called Midway, written also. Their very polite response comes down to "someone told us it is illegal - if you can show us it's not illegal we'll consider it". I mailed them a copy of CA firearms laws from the ATF book to include the SF Municipal Codes. Nothing.
BTW, Midway won't let my friend order by computer because he lives in SOUTH SF and Midway is convinced (and programs their exclusion zip codes such) that SSF is the southern part of SF. He has to call in his order by phone and have the operator over ride their computer after he goes through his explanation.
Midway is the only on line store I know of that does this - Grafs, Lock, Stock & Barrel, Sinclair, MidSouth all ship to SF. It's just kind of a pain because sometimes Midway has everything you want in a particular order, but you have to do a separate order through another company.GOA Member & SAF Life MemberComment

I thought I was the only one. I have to say, half the time pages don't come up or you have to endlessly click to open anything beyond the main page. Truly the worst functioning website to visit.GOA Member & SAF Life MemberComment

There are a lot of sites that just won't sell any ammo to SF or a lot of other cities/counties in CA. There aren't any laws against it here, its all perfectly legal, it seems like most of them either think there is some restriction or they don't care and don't even wanna deal with it. I used to wonder why, now I don't care as they aren't getting any business from me. I won't buy anything from any site that won't sell me ammunition.Comment

h was done away with but it doesn't change the fact that all mfg./ dealers are not wanting to sell anything to california residents. california and cities pass laws and publicize it so much that the world knows about it but they dont publicize it when a law is done away with. so midway was obeying the law as they last as it was. i like midwayComment

OP is talking about bullets and cases, guys. NOT loaded ammo. There's nothing wrong with shipping specially-shaped copper, lead, and brass to SF.
