Generosity in this forum

I sincerely hope that everyone that reads this thread will consider purchasing an "Associate Membership" to the NRA for $10 to anyone that says they want to be a member, but don't want to shell out the money.


just go to the membership signup or the link below and click on the tab that says:
"Junior, Distinguished and
Other Memberships"

and choose the $10 Associate membership

the NRA can use the $10, but they need the membership #s as well

to be able to claim 6 million or 10 million Americans would be great

I just wanted to point out something ive noticed in this forum. The generosity of some of the members. A while back I posted a thread asking what is a good but cheap 9mm handgun because im in a financial bind and cant afford my dream gun, the G19. A few members offered to donate a few bucks to help me get the Glock, and one member even offered to sell me his for a very good price. If things work out, I should be getting that off him within a month.

A few weeks ago right before Christmas, I posted a WTB ad looking to buy a rear Mosin sight. A kind fellow mailed me one free of charge.

I also noticed a large number of members offering to give away free .22 ammo for kids that got their first rifles for Christmas. That touched my heart.

Things like this are what make the world a better place. Strangers offering to help out, for the good of the cause. More ppl need to get intothe gun hobby and exercise their 2A rights, even if they are young or not financially strong like me, and the good will of ppl like the ones here on Calguns makes that possible.

I just wanted to say thank you to all those that have been generous to other gun lovers on this forum, and to those that will in the future. Once I get my career and everything on track, I will be pleased to do the same.

It's not just money or parts, or ammo that good fellow calgunner's give away. There's also the time invested. The Calgun's Chapter Leaders, coordinators, and the many volunteers that help out at Women On Target, Gun Show Booths, BLM Cleanups, monthly shoots, etc. If it weren't for the people willing to give up their day off and donate their time these and other events wouldn't happen.

I too have had some good experiences with quite a few people on this forum.

And to all of them I says thanks, and what comes around goes around.

I also love this board for the generosity. Don't forget the member that got jumped and his tools taken. Lots of people jumped in and helped. This is a good place and thank you to everyone who helps out and not selfish.

Yup the guys here are great. Sure it can be a P.I.T.A for a new member sometimes but all in all its pretty good.

A lot of members here have really stepped up and helped others that hit rough times, didn't have the means to join the sport or needed help keeping guns.

It really is a great community and there are a lot of stand up people here.

I posted a thread asking about advice on building a trailer. A extremely kind CalGunner gave me his old trailer. Of course I took him some ammo as a thank you.

I put on a BLM clean up day and I was so surprised at how many people came out to help.

people here have shipped small things to me FREE. i reciprocated that is the beauty of kindness. i have traded for money or traded for guns without one single problem. the honor system is alive and well here .
