Generosity in this forum

I just wanted to point out something ive noticed in this forum. The generosity of some of the members. A while back I posted a thread asking what is a good but cheap 9mm handgun because im in a financial bind and cant afford my dream gun, the G19. A few members offered to donate a few bucks to help me get the Glock, and one member even offered to sell me his for a very good price. If things work out, I should be getting that off him within a month.

A few weeks ago right before Christmas, I posted a WTB ad looking to buy a rear Mosin sight. A kind fellow mailed me one free of charge.

I also noticed a large number of members offering to give away free .22 ammo for kids that got their first rifles for Christmas. That touched my heart.

Things like this are what make the world a better place. Strangers offering to help out, for the good of the cause. More ppl need to get intothe gun hobby and exercise their 2A rights, even if they are young or not financially strong like me, and the good will of ppl like the ones here on Calguns makes that possible.

I just wanted to say thank you to all those that have been generous to other gun lovers on this forum, and to those that will in the future. Once I get my career and everything on track, I will be pleased to do the same.

would have to agree. someone offered eyes/ears for my kid since I took him shooting. all he asked for was for him to write a short essay on the safety rules and why he enjoyed shooting. another offered to show me around where we plan on moving which is 12 hrs away and took the time out of his day to do that.

We are all in this together, when I was new to coyote hunting I had offers from several members willing to take me out shooting. This forum is full of generous members. That is why it is so difficult to leave. :-)

There have been a few WTB threads I've posted willing to pay for an item members have just given to me even paid full shipping for those parts given to me. I've been trying to find a way to return the favor or pass it on for some time now.


Last month I almost started a pay it forward thread but have seen people get stuck with stuff when they are the last one to pass when the threads die. So I figured not to buy yea there are some good people on this forum that's for sure.

Yes, the G19 is my dream gun. Im pulling all the stops to try and save the cash to buy one. The feller on here said he needs to sell by Feb 28 so my fingers are crossed. The G19 is a GREAT gun.

As bad was the realizing it was the last day of the semester and I had done nothing dream.

Sometimes that was not a dream.
