The story has been updated, no charges. Good samaritan. He is being charged in a separate case for rape of a minor; innocent until proven guilty! Nice job AL. The way the law should work.

Yes and let's hope he didn't rape anyone.

That said I agree anyone entering a store to rob it and threaten those inside should do so with the fear that a CCW holder is inside and ready to prevent it. As much respect as I have for law enforcement, I don't think they can be everywhere at all times.

such a big difference, when reading the comments section, after the article

this happened in Alabama, practically every comment is in support of the 2nd Amendment, our gun rights, and they (the commenters) condemn everyone unwilling to recognize that.....................whereas,

if this took place in California...why do I have oh so little faith that the comments would be the same...sigh

is it possible that the guy who saved the day is also someone who, himself, may be guilty of committing rape...yes, of course, but, that is another issue, and, if his guilt is proven, he should also be held accountable...it doesn't make what he did that day, possibly saving, not only his own life, but, the life of others any less real
