    Could be a rough chamber,

If I could only have one long gun, the 870 would be it.

Bought my 870 express last Christmas. Shot upland some geese and had a excellent pheasant season. Jammed once and choke tube came loose once. But never thought to check it when I got it. I have no complaints. Been a great gun. Just wish she was auto...

I recently shot my friends new 870 and it jammed within the first 6 shots. We were using cheap Winchester shells. On the other hand, my Mossberg 500 has about 1500 rounds through it and has never jammed. It will eat anything I feed it. I vote for Mossberg. Get the combo with 2 barrels at Dick's or Big 5.
