Small collector looking to round out.

A .22 lr is a must-have gun for a collection no matter how big or small. But for that round, if you refer to your guns as a collection, go up-market and get a CZ rifle in .22. The wood is stunning, the build quality is excellent and their accuracy is outstanding. They are really collectibles.
Once you have become comfortable with it, the next one becomes more complicated based on where you shoot, how you like to shoot and so on.

I felt the same way and there was only one 22 rifle I wanted- a Ruger 10/22 with wood stock. Then remembered how fun they are to shoot.

My 2 cents: if you hunt, get a bolt action in 270, 308 or 30-06.

Then get a .17 hmr instead of a 22.

My collection started out the same way, Glock 19, S&W 686+ 4", and a Remington 870.
My next addition was a Kimber Classic 1911, then a Mini-14, got my CCW so a S&W 442&642...I was a member of the gun a month club for a few years
If you're interested in a .22 I got and love my Ruger MkIII Hunter with the 6 7/8" fluted barrel.
Otherwise get an Advantage Arms .22 conversion kit for the Glock.

Get a 10/22. Everyone should have a 10/22. MkIII or Buckmark is a definite must have as well.

I would also say:

Ruger's 10/22 is a gun everyone should own. Always fun to shoot. If you want a nice .22 pistol look at a S&W MP 22.

A 30-30 lever rifle is a main staple of any decent collection.
I would also add a 45LC single action revolver.

Here is a thought.....Buy a T/C Encore Pro frame(register as a pistol). Now you can have whatever rifle/pistol/shotgun you want. Get a rifle stock so you can convert to a long barrel(just don't have the pistol barrel on at the same time as you have the rifle stock...BIG no-no!!). Yes it is single shot, but mine are just about as accurate as any bolt gun. Not perfect, but squirrels at 350 yds with my 22-250 barrel are not safe.

When you are ready for a new caliber, buy the barrel. The nice thing is, there is not waiting period on the barrels and they are readily available(even on e-bay).

The first barrel would be a .308 followed by a 22-250. You can put anything you want on including 416 Rigby. It is a great platform and it only takes a minute or two to change barrels/forearms.
